In season 2 episode 1 of TV show Community, character Troy Barnes is seen wearing spider-man costume pyjamas. This was Community creator Dan Harmon's nod to Troy Barnes' actor Donald Glover being a fan favourite to be Peter Parker in the spider-man reboot that had Andrew Garfield playing Peter Parker instead. But this inspired the creation of Miles Morales, protagonist of hit film Spider-man:Into the spiderverse. In which, when you first see Miles' uncle Aaron he has the TV on, and on it is the intro to Season 2 episode 1, the part mentioned above, as a nod to the nod to the dream of Donald Glover playing Spider-man. Donald Glover does however play Miles Uncle Aaron in Spider-man Homecoming. So who knows what the future holds.
